‘Carbon Copy’ Weather Persists Until Wednesday’s Chance of Showers

Another weak dry front moved across Southwestern California Sunday and ushered in a new round of winds which could prevail Monday over Pasadena.

The National Weather Service said the winds, mostly about 10 to 15 miles per hour could gust up to 20 mph.

Overall, Monday will be sunny with a high near 72, low around 49.

The winds will decrease Tuesday as a ridge moves over California. Combined with a weaker offshore push, this will allow for about five degrees of warming, says the NWS.

Tuesday will be sunny, with highs near 73 and winds north to northeast becoming southwest in the afternoon at five to 10 mph. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 71, but then Wednesday night starts showing signs of rain, as the ridge starts to weaken and move eastward and a trough approaches from the northwest.

The NWS predicts a 16 percent rain chance over Pasadena Wednesday night, increasing to 35 percent Thursday especially before 11 a.m. With this, the NWS warns again of hazardous roadway conditions Wednesday afternoon through Thursday night.

Increasing cloudiness lowers maximum temperatures, about four to eight degrees below normal.

Thursday’s high will be near 68. Thursday night continues to be cloudy, with lows around 55.

Monday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 49. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Tuesday – Sunny, with a high near 73. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Tuesday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Wednesday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.

Wednesday Night – A chance of showers after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Thursday – A chance of showers before 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 68.

Thursday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55.

Friday – Partly sunny, with a high near 75.

Friday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.

Saturday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.
