Updated: Horrific Crash Sends Five to Hospital, Leaves Live Wires Arcing in Street Monday

A terrible two car accident Monday afternoon around 2 p.m. at the intersection of East California Boulevard and Sierra Madre Boulevard in north San Marino sent five people to two area hospitals, some with serious injuries.

San Marino Police Department Dispatcher Kristin Curtis said that the wreck knocked down a traffic light and that live electrical wires were on the ground as well.

The Curtis said that a total of five victims were transported to two hospitals. Their conditions are not known.
