An injured young man was rescued in Eaton Canyon near the waterfall today.
Pasadena Fire Department Urban search an Rescue personnel hiked in to provide medical aid to the man, reportedly in his 20’s, authorities said.
The victim had “sustained an leg injury and could not walk out,” said Pasadena Fire Dept. spokesperson Lisa Derderian.
Rescuers splinted the victim’s injured leg, administered an IV then carried him down to safety, she said.
“He’ll be transported to a local hospital in stable condition,” Derderian said, adding a reminder to the public “this long weekend to be prepared if hiking. Know your route, dress appropriately, bring a cell phone and stay on designated trails.”
