Pasadena mayoral candidate Jason Hardin said Thursday morning that one of the victims of Wednesday night’s shooting in Washington Park is a childhood friend and neighbor of his named Joshua Jacobs.
Pasadena police confirmed this afternoon that Jacobs was a victim in the shooting.
“I am deeply saddened by the incident and am hopeful for a full recovery,” Hardin said. “It’s incidents like these that have compelled me to become more involved in the betterment of our city. I’m so tired of seeing friends, neighbors, and members of our community become victims to senseless violence, which is why I will continue to do whatever I can to inspire our youth and bring hope to those in despair. Enough is enough!”
