An alleged “Peeping Tom” was arrested this morning by a pair of graveyard shift Pasadena police patrol officers after the noticed his resemblance to a wanted flyer.
Authorities say a man was wanted for peeping into the women’s restroom at Vroman’s Bookstore, located at 695 East Colorado Boulevard, in an April 6 incident which was captured by store security video cameras.
Pasadena police detectives, working with the video, were able to publish a wanted flyer with a clear image of the man. The poster was distributed to patrol officers yesterday, a spokesperson said.
Wednesday morning about 5:42 a.m. police responded to a service call of a man acting suspiciously in the area of Mar Vista Avenue near Union Street. The suspect was detained near Catalina Avenue and Walnut Street, police said.
The officers then noticed the suspect matched the “Peeping Tom” wanted flyer — exactly, down to his clothes.
Police said Dejuan Robertson,40, a transient who frequents Pasadena, was arrested for the peeping incident.
