There’s a new burger in town. The Stand, a custom-made burger, hot dog and sandwich stop, opens in the Playhouse District today.

“We’re excited to bring The Stand to the Pasadena market,” says Murray Wishengrad, CEO/President of The Stand. “We want Pasadena residents to experience great quality food at a pace and price that fits with their lifestyle. Whether it’s for a quick bite or comfortable dining experience, we aim to be the ideal space for everyone to enjoy with friends and family.”

The Stand’s menu features an extensive selection of custom, made-to-order American classics such as “Stand Burgers”, “Stand Dogs” and “Standwiches,” with innovative spins and unique ingredients, designed and executed by Culinary Director Jason Wishengrad. They will serve “redefined” American classics and a variety of custom, made-to-order original burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches and entrée salads. Choose from over twenty-five Stand-made toppings for sausages or hotdogs.

Stand Dogs and Sausages can be custom made or selected from the menu offerings, including The “O” Dog with a grilled dog, corn salsa, cilantro lime aioli, sriracha, and crispy onion strings served on a poppy seed bun, and their Three Pigs Sausage with Bratwurst and Porchetta topped with bacon, tomato jam, Swiss cheese, chimichurri, green apple and red onion slaw. Also offered are Fries, Sides and Veggies including Porchetta Fries, Stand Gourmet Chili, Asian Slaw, Brussels Sprouts, Sweet Potato Fries, and Mac N’ Cheese.

The Stand’s interior embraces an upscale casual vibe, with sophisticated and modern interiors designed by architect Jonathan Glasglow in partnership with Murray and Jason Wishengrad. Extending both indoors and outdoors, The Stand features a 32-seat patio, a space that is communal by design with dining tables made for sharing and family gatherings. Inclusive of an open kitchen acting as both a showpiece and a hyper functional work space, The Stand includes marble counter tops, rich wood tables, individual and communal seating, a large 71” screen television, digital menus and display boards.

The Stand is located at 36 South El Molino Avenue. Visit www.thestandlink.com for more information.
