Trattoria Neapolis, the stunningly beautiful Italian eatery on South Lake Avenue opposite Macy’s,  announced today it is closing February 1.
The restaurant was the passionate vision of its creator and owner, Pasadenan Perry Vidalakis, who spent years travelling Italy and studying its cuisine before launching the restaurant in 2012.
“We are proud of our restaurant’s food, drink, service and ambiance. We are grateful for the reviews and awards we have received. We appreciate our wonderful staff for all their hard work,” the emailed notice said. “We thank our fantastic customers for all their support.”
The Zagat guide had recently elected Trattoria Neapolis one of the top 12 new restaurants in Los Angeles.
Gina Baffo, the restaurant’s Community Relations Director, said “we are proud of what we offered the community and invite PasadenaNow.com readers to continue to enjoy Neapolis until Sunday, February 1st.”
