A Pasadena home seller surprised two men who had temporarily “moved in” to his extensively renovated, furniture-staged home on Tuesday.

Pasadena Police Lt. John Luna said the 46-year-old homeowner arrived at his property in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue to prepare for an open house with prospective buyers when he encountered the the two men inside.

Startled, the men fled. The victim called police.

Arriving officers set up a containment area and called in a helicopter for air support as they searched the neighborhood for the suspects.

“One suspect was found within the containment area and the second one found a short distance away,” Luna said.

Isaacs Flye, an  18-year-old homeless man, and Diamond Muhammed, 18, of Altadena were both arrested for residential burglary, Luna said.

In the end, the homeowner reported his only loss was bottles of water which had been on hand for upcoming open houses.
