Two candidates vying for the position of Los Angeles County Supervisor will meet Thursday at a forum held by the Pasadena League of Women Voters to debate and present their goals for the city’s 5th district.

Kathryn Barger and Darrell Park will face off at the assembly from 7 to 9 p.m., which will be held at the Creveling Lounge at Pasadena City College. According to the Los Angeles Daily News, the debate will come a week after a judge upheld Barger’s challenge to a ballot statement made by Park.

Park, who claimed that Barger — a Republican — was supportive of Donald Trump’s policies, is having his notion directly challenged as Barger claims she does not back Trump and will not vote for him, according to the report.

Barger, who is currently a top aide to current Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, told the Daily News that she is committed to running a campaign that appeals to every party and that her goals are job creation, public safety and fiscal responsibility.

“I am gratified by the judge’s ruling on Mr. Park’s ballot statement,” Barger said in a statement released by her campaign to the media. “I actually have many more Democratic endorsements than my opponent and I’ve made clear on numerous occasions that I do not support Donald Trump or his radical agenda”

Despite the judge’s ruling, Park — an entrepreneur who has progressive views — did not back down and said in a press release that he was proud to oppose Trump and Barger.

“I hope that Kathryn Barger understands the importance of candidates, officeholders, and other public figures coming out publicly against his divisive and hateful rhetoric,” he said in the media statement. “This action by Barger’s campaign is nothing more than a political stunt, which aims to waste taxpayer money and bleed resources from our grassroots campaign.”

Barger finished in first place during the June 7 primary as she gathered over 105,000 votes while Park finished in second with about 55,000. According to the Daily News, every other one of Barger’s challengers endorsed her — except for Park.

The forum will take place at 1570 East Colorado Road and will be the first of four debates scheduled between Park and Barger.

The candidates are also expected to meet:

•Sept. 21, 6:30 p.m. at the Antelope Valley College Performing Arts Theatre – 3041 West Avenue K, Lancaster.

•Sept. 30, 8:15 p.m. at the Burbank City Council Chamber, 275 E Olive Ave., Burbank.

•Oct. 12, 7 p.m. at the KPCC Crawford Family Forum: 474 South Raymond Ave., Pasadena
