The magic of a special relationship is captivating.

When the Pasadena Humane Society posted this inspiring video of ‘alumni’ Walter, a young puppy, and his little girl Julia who share an incredible bond, people just couldn’t help watching this heartwarming pair.

You see, both were born deaf. Now Julia and Walter not only play together, but Walter helps Julia with her homework and Julia teaches Walter sign language. Walter is Julia’s best friend.

Julia’s mother knew that Walter was the perfect companion for her daughter.

“When I first held Julia, since she couldn’t really hear my voice, she would smell my neck,” she says, “and when I first held Walter he did almost the same exact thing.”

Since posting the video June 28 it has spread like wildfire, and as of writing this has already been viewed more than 190,000 times and shared more than 7,690 times.
