Woman Attacked with Machete During Family Disturbance in Altadena

Altadena Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 1500 block of East Altadena Drive this afternoon in Altadena regarding a family disturbance.

When they arrived, deputies found a woman who was bleeding profusely who told them she had been attacked by a man who lives at the residence who used a machete to cut her.

The suspect had fled the location in an unknown direction driving a sedan-type vehicle immediately after the attack, she told deputies.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated for a laceration to the head. The victim’s injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

The suspect has been identified however, his name is not being released based upon this being an on-going investigation.

This case will later be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
