Published on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 | 5:02 pm

Pasadena City Councilmember Steve Madison said the installation of approximately 600 feet of gas main piping and 19 service laterals along Linda Vista Avenue could begin as soon as Wednesday, Feb. 6.
Madison said his office received notice Tuesday morning about the installation work, which is part of a project to upgrade the natural gas distribution system, as part of the DIMP/DREAMS Main Replacement Program.
The aim is to enhance the safety and reliability of the natural gas delivery system.
The limits of the installation work are from Wabash Street to 1100 Linda Vista, and from 1140 Linda Vista to Afton Street.
Construction is anticipated to be completed in March 2019, said Madison.
This phase of the installation work is the second of a total of four phases along the east side of Linda Vista Avenue. The last phase is scheduled for completion by Nov. 2019. The affected roadway will be partially restored at the end of each phase, with an overall slurry treatment for all reaches at the end of the last phase.
For any questions about the work, call Engineer Yannie Wu at the Pasadena Department of Public Works, at (626) 744-3762 or email ywu@cityofpasadena.net.
