Sixty-two rescue animals housed at Pasadena Humane, including all of the shelter’s cats, went home with new families during the annual “Clear the Shelters” event on Saturday, hosted in conjunction with NBC, organizers said.
The event, in which adoption fees were waived and appointments were not needed, took place Saturday afternoon at Pasadena Humane, 361 S. Raymond Ave.
A total of 32 cats, 21 dogs and nine “critters” found permanent homes, representatives said.
“We are so excited that 62 animals found their homes today including ALL available cats,” the organizations said via social media. “What a great day!”
“Congratulations to all our recent adopters and their new pets,” representatives added.
“Clear the Shelters” has been ongoing in partnership with NBC since 2015, resulting in the adoption of more than half a million pets across the U.S., according to Pasadena Humane.
