Here’s What You Missed at the Pasadena Humane Society’s ‘Rattling Cages’ Last Night

On Thursday night, the Pasadena Humane Society and 1202 Salon and Spa collaborated to raise awareness and funds for the PHSA to continue its work in the community.

The evening began with complimentary food and wine provided by Christina Karagias, owner of The Restaurant Republic, which includes Lucky Boy, Paco’s, and City Café.

The show opened with a pet parent parade featuring models wearing clothes from Meredith M, a fashion lifestyle store in Altadena.

The main event was an a fashion, music and dance show, choreographed by Fredy Arboleda, the Creative Director of 1202 Salon and Spa. “Rattling Cages” featured runway designs by Drew Bird and dance performances by The Athletic Garage.

This was the first benefit of its kind and hopefully won’t be the last time that local talent comes together to support animals and the work of the Pasadena Humane Society.
