Supervisor Barger Endorses Lee for Pasadena Board of Education

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger has announced she is endorsing Pasadena Board of Education District 2 candidate Jennifer Hall Lee.

“Jennifer is committed to serving the needs of children and youth and is a passionate advocate for education,” Barger said. “Her dedication is evident as a member of the Altadena Town Council and her tireless efforts as a volunteer supporting the needs of the community.”

Lee is running in District 2 against Wayne Hammack and Mike Crowley in the Nov. 3 election. The candidates are vying for the seat currently held by Pasadena Unified School District Board member Roy Boulghorjian, who did not file nominating papers for re-election.

Lee has served three terms on the Altadena Town Council, which advises the Board of Supervisors. She currently chairs the Eliot Arts Annual Fund.

Lee’s endorsements include Congressmember Judy Chu, United Teachers of Pasadena, the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, the California School Employees Association (CSEA), the National Women’s Political Caucus, Planned Parenthood Advocates, Jim Osterling, president/chair of the PCC Board of Trustees, former Pasadena Mayor Bill Paparian, ACT, Democrats of Pasadena Foothills, and Foothill Community Democrats.

“I am honored to be endorsed by Supervisor Barger,” Lee said. “As an Altadena Town Councilmember, I have had the great pleasure of meeting the supervisor and working with her staff. I’ve learned that communication is essential for getting things done.”
