Jericho Road Welcomes Kim Olpin as new Executive Director

Jericho Road Pasadena (JRP) is pleased to announce the selection of Kim Olpin as the organization’s new executive director. JRP’s former executive director, Melanie Goodyear, left the organization earlier in March after 12 years at the helm. JRP selected Ms. Olpin following a 4-month search conducted by a team of staff and board members .

Ms. Goodyear was hired by a steering committee in 2010 to launch JRP as a pilot program. Since then, JRP has provided over 23,000 hours of free consulting services worth $2.1 million to local nonprofits. JRP anticipates that Ms. Olpin will leverage these achievements to help the organization continue to promote community development, strengthen social services, and enrich the lives of volunteers.

“Melanie’s vision and leadership will be greatly missed by volunteers, the board and nonprofit partners alike,” said board chair Janet McIntyre. “We wish her the best of luck in her next chapter, and appreciate her many contributions to Jericho Road.”

The board and staff were impressed with her commitment to diversity, partnerships with corporations and collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.”

Kim brings 15 years of nonprofit experience to JRP. Most recently, she was the Vice President of Corporate Engagement for L.A. Works, where she directed and managed the corporate partnerships of the 50,000-member nonprofit volunteer action center focusing on impactful solutions in collaboration with community organizations. Prior to L.A. Works, she held development positions with organizations including the CLARE Foundation (now CLARE | MATRIX) and the National Audubon Society.
