Pasadena Now has learned that all ballots received by Los Angeles County cast on and before Election Day, including votes recorded at vote centers, have been counted.

County officials plan to update the vote count between 1-4 p.m. today. However, that count could be late, based on previous updates. Voters were in line until well past midnight at some locations.

“All the standard ballots have been counted,” said Mike Sanchez, public information officer. “Everything received before Election Day, including every ballot submitted at a machine on Election Day, has been counted.”

The county still has about 573,750 ballots countywide to count, including 50,000 conditional voter registration ballots, 26,500 provisional ballots, 327,250 vote-by-mail ballots and 170,000 miscellaneous ballots.

It is not known how many of those could impact the election.
The vote-by-mail estimation could be low, as many voters dropped off those ballots on Election Day.

Pasadena Now will update the vote count when it becomes available.

Currently, Victor Gordo leads the mayor’s race with 46.21 percent of the vote, followed by Incumbent Terry Tornek who trails with 41.63 percent. As of Wednesday at 6:05 p.m. when the votes were last updated, Gordo led the vote count 11,461- 10,323.

Unless one of the candidates manages to get more than 50 percent of the vote, the candidates will meet in a runoff election in November.

Major Williams trails with 8.40 percent of the vote (2,084 votes) and Jason Hardin has 3.76 percent (932 votes).
In City Council elections, District 2 frontrunner Felicia Williams remains above 50 percent in District 2.

Williams now has 51.71 percent of the vote (1,798 votes). Tricia Keane trails far behind with just 26.17 percent. (910 votes). Bo Patatian and Kevin Litwin have just 13.40 percent (466 votes) and 8.71 percent (303 votes).

The candidates are running to replace Margaret McAustin, who is not seeking re-election.
Incumbent Gene Masuda remains far out front with 59.60 percent of the vote in District 4.

His opponents Char Bland, Joe Baghdadlian and Kevin Wheeler have not managed to acquire 20 percent of the vote so far.
Bland trails Masuda (18.21 percent, 845 votes), Baghdadlian is in a distant third (15.84 percent, 735 votes) and Wheeler is last (6.36 percent, 295 votes).

Longtime District 6 Councilman Steve Madison currently has 53.15 percent (2,523 votes) of the vote in that race.

Challenger Tamerlin Godley, who has amassed 38.91 percent (1,847 votes) has been unable to cut into Madison’s lead enough to bring him under 50 percent. Ryan Bell is in third place with 7.94 percent (377 votes).
