California Assembly District 41 candidate Victoria Rusnak

California Assembly District 41 candidate Victoria Rusnak today said she has raised more than $100,000 in the two weeks since announcing her intention to run for the State Assembly in the new 41st Assembly District.

Rusnak has already opened, staffed and begun operating from a campaign headquarters located in Pasadena.

“I’m profoundly grateful for the strong support I am receiving from job creators all over our Assembly District and the confidence they are showing in my ability to help grow the economy,” said Rusnak.

“People are suffering,” Rusnak continued. “One in every 13 Californians over the age of 50 face the risk of hunger, according to research commissioned by the AARP Foundation. Our schools are underfunded and our legislature is paralyzed by the poison of political partisanship. We need to reform the budget process with a ‘pay-as-you-go’ funding approach and stop the budget gimmicks. I will take a no nonsense and frugal approach to budgeting while protecting seniors and children.”

Victoria Rusnak is the President and General Counsel of Rusnak Auto Group. She graduated from the University of Southern California’s business school and earned her law degree from Gonzaga University and a Masters in Environmental Law from George Washington School of Law. Rusnak has worked with the Sierra Club Legal Defense Club in Washington, D.C. and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. She is an active supporter of education and the arts for socioeconomically disadvantaged children including Ronald McDonald House Charities and Pasadena’s Armory Center for the Arts.

The new 41st Assembly District includes South Pasadena, Pasadena, East Pasadena, Altadena, Sierra Madre, Monrovia, San Dimas, La Verne, Claremont, Upland, San Antonio Heights and Rancho Cucamonga.
