Average Southland Gas Prices Approach $4 Per Gallon

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County recorded its largest daily increase since March 13 Friday, rising 1.3 cents to $3.999, its highest amount since Nov. 16, 2019.

The average price is 2.7 cents more than one week ago, 9.5 cents higher than one month ago and $1.087 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has risen 76.7 cents since the start of the year, including a half-cent on Thursday, mainly because of a run of 59 increases in 60 days totaling 57.9 cents that ended March 21.

According to statistics published by GasBuddy.com, three local gas stations were selling gasoline for $3.59 over the past 24 hours:

  • The ARCO station at 1010 E Washington Blvd., Pasadena;

  • CTC Equity at 1414 E. Washington Blvd., Pasadena

  • Garo Gas at 960 E. Washington Blvd., in Pasadena
