Pasadena City Councilmember John Kennedy, who is Chair of the Public Safety Committee which oversees the Pasadena Police Department, has issued a statement on the tragic events in Dallas on Thursday evening, calling them a “horrific tragedy when any law enforcement officer is gunned down by a cowardly act of senseless violence and misplaced vengeance.”

Kennedy added, “Five police officers in Dallas have paid the ultimate sacrifice while protecting peaceful protesters.  The murders are ugly and painful.  Our collective thoughts and prayers go out to the families who have lost a loved one, a patriot, a son, a father, a brother, a husband, and a friend.”
