The city is seeking community feedback in its recruitment for a new director of the Department of Public Works.
Former Public Works Director Ara Maloyan left Pasadena in early June after nearly six years on the job.
Maloyan came to Pasadena in 2015 after a stint as Long Beach Public Works director.
Local residents can answer a brief survey that will be used to help guide the recruitment and selection strategies for one of the city’s most important positions.
The survey asks questions about priorities and leadership qualities for the position.
The Public Works director is responsible for all administrative and operational aspects of the Public Works Department, including oversight of the city’s parks facilities, streets and bridges; the city’s urban forest; capital improvement projects; the Citizen Service Center; refuse and recycling programs; graffiti abatement; fleet maintenance for all city vehicles; and coordination of animal services.
