Get Ready for a Week of Wet Weather

The cold and wet weather in Pasadena is predicted to intensify Saturday with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., National Weather Service forecasters said.

The high temperature will be a chilly 52, double-digit degrees below last week’s summery weather.

At least three storm systems were bearing down on the region as forecasters said an upper-level low-pressure system had brought “cool and unsettled weather” through the coming week.

A second system is expected Sunday, bring more rain and colder temps.

The third and strongest system is expected to arrive by mid-week, lasting through next Friday.

“Multiple inches of rain are possible by the end of the week in some areas, especially in the foothills and mountains,” forecasters said.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 53. Light south wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: Rain likely, mainly after 10 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70%.

Monday: A 50 percent chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 53. West northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain. Partly cloudy, with a low around 42.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 55.

Tuesday Night: A slight chance of rain after 10 pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 41.
