Pasadena Police Chief John Perez will join LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva for a virtual Town Hall meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday May 27.

Information on the town hall was not provided at press time.

The meeting could provide local residents information on a hotbed of local topics.

The Pasadena Police Department is currently investigating two shootings, including the fatal officer involved shooting of Lloyd Nelson Jr, earlier this month and a shooting this past weekend on Lake Avenue that left one man dead.

Meanwhile, Villanueva has come under intense fire after he announced plans to close the substation in Altadena amidst a battle over the budget with the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.

Villanueva later walked back his plans, but now faces legal trouble. Last week a spokesperson with the Civilian Oversight Commission said the group would seek legal action against the embattled sheriff after Villanueva refused to comply with a subpoena to appear before the commission.
