In the first of two peaceful protests Tuesday, a group of about 100 demonstrators marched back and forth between City Hall and Old Pasadena, in yet another reaction to the Minneapolis Police death of George Floyd.
Following the first trek through Old Pasadena, the group returned to Centennial Plaza, and sat quietly under the shadow of the Jackie and Mack Robinson statues across from City Hall. There, demonstrators quietly shared their feelings and attitudes with each other about the Floyd killing and racism in America.
Pasadena has now passed three days of protests with few arrests and no injuries. A “Park-In” caravan and vigil later that evening, drew more than 3,000 participants to City Hall.
