Shortly after the first round of votes came in District 6 Councilman Steve Madison said he was cautiously optimistic.

Steve Madison raced out to a huge lead in District 6 per the early results. The longtime District 6 councilman has 1,291 votes. Tamerlin Godley trailed Madison with 759 votes. Ryan Bell was in third with 152 votes.

“It looks to be about 2000 votes that have come in. My understanding is that that’s about 30 percent of what we would expect the total to be. We are at about 57 percent and of course we need 50 percent plus one to stay out of a runoff in here at this point. So we’re, we’re very optimistic that that’s a good sample of the entire electorate and that those, those numbers will hold for the entire race.”
