A young man apparently jumped from an office building and fell “multiple stories” to the roof of another building in an apparent attempt to kill himself Tuesday night.
Pasadena Police Lieutenant John Luna said the 20-year-old man suffered major trauma to his lower extremities when he was located on the roof an adjacent building in the 100 block of North Raymond Avenue shortly after 7 p.m.
Police were responding to a 9-1-1 call of a man who had fallen and was not moving.
Pasadena Fire Department units rescued the victim from the rooftop using a ladder truck with a basket.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition, Luna said.
An investigation into the circumstances of the man’s fall is ongoing, Luna said.
