Police officers on patrol in Northwest Pasadena on Sunday night around 10 p.m. heard shots which later proved to have struck a man, inflicting non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The responding officers found evidence of a shooting in the cul-de-sac of Pepper Street, according to Lieutenant Vasken Gourdikian of the Pasadena Police Department.
A short time later, a victim surfaced at Huntington Memorial Hospital who placed himself where the shooting occurred, Gourdikian said.
The victim, a 22-year old African American man, did not provide a description of the suspect or the vehicle they were driving were given.
