The shooting took place about 5:45 p.m. in a residential neighborhood along Oakland Avenue, just north of Del Mar Boulevard, Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess said.
A 20-year-old Altadena man was sitting in his car with his girlfriend when another vehicle drove up and someone from within opened fire, according to the lieutenant.
