The Pasadena Executive Roundtable (PERT) is hosting an online forum next month to discuss ways local nonprofit organizations can encourage voter participation in the upcoming election.

The meeting will take place at 9 a.m. Oct. 7 via Zoom, PERT said in a written statement, and feature League of Women Voters Pasadena President Martha Zavala.

“In this critical election year, now is the time for nonprofit organizational leaders and their staff to engage in both voter engagement/encouragement efforts and lobbying or advocating for an issue,” PERT Chair Elizabeth Dever said. “The Pasadena Executive Roundtable is offering a free online meeting to outline the differences and guide staff so collectively the nonprofit sector will have a meaningful impact on this election.”

The meeting will be open to PERT members, as well as anyone working for a local nonprofit, according to PERT.

PERT members will receive an email invitation. Organizations not belonging to PERT can RSVP via email at pasadenaexecutiveroundtable@gmail.com.
