The Pasadena NAACP will hold a town hall at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 2 that will focus on local leadership among millennials.
Speakers will include local millennial leaders: Ashley Carrasco, Brandon Lamar, Dominic Correy, and Natalya Romo-Jones, President of the San Gabriel Valley Section, National Council of Negro Women.
“Ensuring that our young people continue to have a voice is a huge part of how needed change will come” said Allen Edson, President of NAACP Pasadena. “As the next generation continues to lead local efforts to bring about change, it is important to give them our support, guidance and the opportunity to make sure their voices are heard; it is important to make space for our next generation to lead”.
The town hall will address what community engagement looks like, how young people can continue to make change and how to support their efforts with action.
