Pasadena Chamber Issues Warning Against Unauthorized Solicitations

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce has issued an urgent warning to its members about unauthorized solicitations. The Chamber has received reports of members being targeted by unsolicited emails from an address identified as josefina.techbusinesslist@gmail.com, offering to sell a list of Pasadena Chamber member companies with all contact information.

The Chamber has firmly stated that this email was not authorized by them and they were not aware of it. They have emphasized that they never sell or provide the contact information of their members in bulk. They also do not give out email addresses in bulk to anyone, not even Chamber members.

Members have also reported receiving phone calls, some from a person named Juan, seeking call backs or discussions of products or services. These calls are not from the Chamber, nor does the Pasadena Chamber authorize them.

The Chamber does provide contact information as a referral if someone contacts them looking for a product or service. They also have two-level access for emails published in their online Directory to guard against anyone mining the information in bulk.

Chamber staff members Linda, Kelly, Paul, or Leanne will call on behalf of the Chamber. They also have a contractor, TinaLyn, who contacts members who have not renewed. Townsquare Publications sells ads for Pasadena Perspective (their digital magazine). Debra Wells may contact members on their behalf.

The Chamber respects the privacy of its members and does everything it can to guard against their information being used to solicit or sell anything to its members via email or any way other than through the Chamber.
