Pasadena Embraces Christmas Spirit with Church Services and Events for Seniors and the Needy

Pasadena is ringing in Christmas Day with a mix of traditional church services and community events, focusing on supporting seniors and those in need.

The day’s festivities begin with Masses and various church services across Pasadena, honoring the annual celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth. These religious services provide a moment of reflection and celebration for Pasadena’s Christian community.

A festive special lunch for seniors will be hosted at the Pasadena Senior Center. The event aims to cultivate a sense of belonging and joy during the holiday season. 

In addition to the senior center’s activities, notable celebrations are scheduled at the Pasadena Tabernacle of the Salvation Army and Union Station Homeless Services designed to bring comfort and festive cheer to those facing hardships during this time of the year. 

Adding to the Christmas spirit, Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo issued a heartfelt statement on Christmas Eve, reflecting on the significance of the holiday season. In his address, Mayor Gordo looked back on the accomplishments of the Pasadena community in 2023 and shared his aspirations for the future. His message highlighted the spirit of unity, resilience, and hope that defines Pasadena and its residents.
