Local Police on Elevated Alert During Homicide Suspect Manhunt

Pasadena police officers are on elevated alert during a large scale manhunt in Southern California for homicide suspect Christopher Jordan Dorner.

Dorner is suspected of killing two people in Irvine on Sunday, February 3, 2013. Most recently, Dorner is the suspect in shootings that occurred this morning in Riverside County. Preliminary reports: A Los Angeles Police officer was shot in Corona, followed by two Riverside Police officers shot during in an apparent ambush. Sadly, one Riverside Police Officer died and the other is in the hospital.

Pasadena Police Chief Phillip L. Sanchez said, “Dorner’s behavior poses a significant risk to the public through his willingness to target police officers and innocent people. Until he is apprehended, he will continue to pose a significant threat to any person he fells is a threat.”

Chief Sanchez urges the public to exercise increased awareness of surroundings and become familiar with the available information about Dorner.

Although there is no information Dorner is in the Pasadena area, mobility increases vulnerability of all communities.

Dorner is described as a 33 year old, Black Male, 6’0” tall, 270 lbs, black hair, brown eyes.

He was last seen driving a blue 2005 Nissan Titan pick-up with California license 7X03191.

If you see someone matching the description of Dorner or his vehicle do not approach – Dorner is considered armed and dangerous – Call 9-1-1.
