A felon was arrested for possessing an illegal ghost gun fitted with an extended magazine after a traffic stop in Pasadena early Monday morning.
Pasadena Police Lieutenant Tim Bundy said officers pulled over a car with tinted windows in the area of North Craig Avenue and Maple Street at 12:14 a.m.
Bundy said the driver, identified as Kamryn Jermaine Williams, 28, was determined to be a parolee and the car he was driving was searched by the officers.
Officers discovered a loaded ghost gun handgun in the center console of the car, according to Bundy.
Ghost guns are firearms that are assembled from parts or kits without serial numbers or background checks. They are illegal in California.
Williams was booked for being a felon in possession of a firearm and for carrying a concealed weapon.
