Pasadena Seminary Student Wins Finance Company Scholarship

A student of a seminary in Pasadena has won a $1,000 scholarship grant from property financing company ClearPath Lending.

Federico Poloni, studying at Fuller Theological Seminary, will receive his scholarship prize in the fall semester of 2021, according to a company statement Thursday. The financial assistance will be submitted by the company directly to the school’s financial department.

As part of this year’s scholarship application, students were asked to complete an essay with the question: “Do you think owning a home is important? Why or why not?”

In the essay he submitted, Poloni stressed the importance of owning a home as this will benefit not just an individual but the community as well.

“Regardless of where you live in the world, owning a home is of high importance.”

“Homeowners invest in their community. They aren’t just transient to the neighborhood, the schools, or the next-door neighbors themselves. They get to know their community, they watch out for odd behavior and create safety,” Poloni wrote.

Poloni concluded his essay by saying that ownership of property becomes ownership in the community.

“It doesn’t matter how you get to it, be it by building it from the ground up, or having the ability to buy a property. Either way, there are great benefits from financial, emotional and to the community,” he said.

ClearPath Lending is a financial solutions company based in Irvine California that offers customized loaning options and other services for aspiring homeowners.

The firm started its scholarship program just this year to help students in need to achieve their academic goals.
