Pasadena Weather to Warm After Unusually Cold, Rainy Late Winter Weekend

After an unusually cold and wet mid-April weekend, Pasadena residents can expect a return to more normal weather this week. 

Monday, temperatures will warm up by 6 to 12 degrees, although highs will still remain 4 to 8 degrees below normal for this time of year.

Overnight, the offshore flow will increase, preventing the formation of low clouds in the area. Temperatures will continue to rise on Tuesday, with most areas experiencing above-normal temperatures.

As the week progresses, onshore flow will increase, bringing a deeper marine layer and cooler temperatures to Pasadena. 

By Friday, maximum temperatures will be 3 to 6 degrees below normal, and the low cloud pattern will persist through the night and morning into the weekend.

Despite long-range temperature guidance indicating some warming each day, the consistent onshore flow in the afternoons may result in little day-to-day change in temperatures near the coast.

Today: Patchy fog before 11 am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the morning.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 48. West southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 79. Light and variable wind becoming west southwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 50. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northeast in the evening.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 54.
