Police Activities League Rewards 10 Young Achievers During “Shop With a Cop”

DICK’S Sporting Goods was crawling with police Thursday afternoon, but it was all for the good.

Ten young people in the Police Activities League program were rewarded with gift coupons to “Shop With a Cop.”

“These kids were selected because of their academic, athletic and behavioral merit,” explained Pasadena Police Corporal Cristian Allen. 

“The kids that were picked for their academics have either demonstrated tremendous growth from the beginning of the school year to now, or they’ve maintained their high grades throughout the school year up until now,” he said.

DICK’S Sporting Goods made a good day better by donating $1,000 to the Pasadena Police Activities League.
