High school students interested in taking part in Pasadena Unified School District athletics are being invited to get free qualification physicals Saturday as the district begins making plans for the return of high school, officials said.

The physical exams will be provided from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the campus of the nonprofit group Young & Healthy, 136 W. Peoria St., according to a statement issued by the organization TeamDoctor, which is partnering with Ortho Care on Demand to provide the checkups.

“While partners, coaches and administrators want to see sports resume again, the first step is to have all interested high school students from Blair, Muir, Marshall and PHS take their qualification physical exam,” the statement said.

“Student athletes and their parents are required to have been COVID-screened and notified of the results prior to attending the event,” the statement added.

Ortho Care on Demand and TeamDoctor are part of a Los Angeles-based company called Health Care on Demand.
