Published on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 | 6:37 am

The driver of a silver Toyota Camry trying to avoid a big rig crashed into a light pole and knocked it over beside the westbound I-210 Foothill freeway near the transition to the I-134 about 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, setting off possible secondary collisions and leading the California Highway Patrol to call a Sigalert for the closure of the HOV lane.

The big rig was reportedly over the center divider as the result of an early collision, according to CHP logs.

The Sigalert was still in effect as of 6:30 a.m. and caused backed up traffic to the Sierra Madre Blvd/Altadena Drive area.

No injuries were reported.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area or seek alternate routes.
