South Lake Avenue Businesses Announce April Promotions and Events

The South Lake Business Association (SLBA) has announced a series of promotions and events for April 2024, inviting locals and visitors to explore the diverse offerings of South Lake Avenue’s retailers and restaurants. The SLBA is also celebrating the participants of its monthly trivia game, with the latest winner being Alyssa I. from Los Angeles.

Promotions and New Openings

South Lake Avenue is bustling with April activity, including the opening of the LA Beauty Skin Center set to open in May  at 214 S. Lake Avenue, offering a range of aesthetic procedures and treatments. Nosy Neighbors Coffee & Donuts is also set to open at 80 S. Lake Avenue, boasting a high-capacity mini donut machine. Ono Hawaiian BBQ will be bringing island flavors to 230 S. Lake Avenue, with a focus on fresh, authentic Hawaiian cuisine.

Special Events

Lee Salon Pasadena at 573 S. Lake Avenue is hosting “A Day of Beauty” on Sunday, April 24, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., offering complimentary haircuts, styling, makeup, nail care, and goodie bags. Elite Beauty Bar at 256 S. Lake Avenue is planning a one-night fashion event on Friday, April 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., featuring a fashion show with upcycled garments and a party with prizes.

Macy’s April Events

Macy’s Pasadena, located at 401 S. Lake Avenue, is hosting several events and promotions throughout April, including a VIP Sales Event that started  March 27 and run’s to April 7 and intele’s an Extra 20% off Fashion, 25% off Home and 15% off Beauty , a Clinique Gift with Purchase from April 3 to April 21, a Prom Event on April 6 which will include a prom Fashion show with local students; Fashion, Accessories & Beauty by Clinique, a Lali Trunk Show on April 15 which includes Lali Fine Jewelry 1-Day Only 50% + 20% off with Reservation and the Macy’s Friends & Family Event from April 25 to May 5 including 5% off Fashion and 15% off Beauty & Fragrances.

Construction Notice

The SLBA has also provided an update on the South Lake Avenue Pedestrian Lighting Project, which began construction in 2023. The project aims to enhance the vibrancy of the district with improved lighting. Despite the ongoing construction, the district remains open for business.

Holidayfest 2024

Looking ahead, the SLBA is preparing for Holiday Fest 2024, an event that provides businesses with an opportunity to showcase their offerings to a wide audience. The association is currently seeking sponsors for the event and can be contacted at (626) 792-1259 for more information.

 Newsletter Submissions

The SLBA is accepting submissions for the May 2024 newsletter until April 20th. South Lake Avenue business and property owners interested in participating can email their submissions to slba@southlakeavenue.org.

Trivia Game and Recognition

The SLBA extends congratulations to the trivia game winners Marcella L. from Temple City (January), Victor C. from Pasadena (February), and Alyssa I. from Los Angeles (March). Participants are encouraged to join the monthly trivia question for a chance to win a prize at the year-end Holidayfest event.
