The California Lottery said on Sunday that a Powerball ticket matching five of six winning numbers and worth more than $2.4 million was sold in South Pasadena.
The $2 ticket was sold at the American Premium Gasoline station at 1200 Fair Oaks Ave.
The ticketholder did not guess the full winning Powerball number, and missed out on the  $317 million jackpot.
The ticket did match the first five numbers of 1, 25, 44, 17 and 37.
So far the winner remains unidentified.
