Sunny and 78 Tuesday, But Rain Ahead For the Weekend

Today looks like it’s going to be great. Weather-wise. Sunny and in the upper 70s—what could be better?

But it turns out we’re in a lull between storms once again, and the National Weather Service says that although today through Wednesday will be dry and cheerful, Pasadenas should brace themselves for more of the wet stuff this next weekend.

Thursday will bring a big change as a cold system approaches and temperatures drop significantly. Cloudy skies and the chance of rain continue through Friday and the weekend.

Here’s the latest weather forecast for Pasadena from the National Weather Service as of 3:51 a.m. Tuesday morning:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 78. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. West southwest wind around 5 mph becoming east northeast in the evening.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 76. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 49. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast after midnight.

Thursday: Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 61. South southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday Night: There is a 30 percent chance of showers after 11 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 41.

Friday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 53. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 61.
