Weekend Temperatures Will Once Again Rise to Near-Triple Digits

A hazardous weather statement warning of an increased risk of fire was issued to the San Gabriel Valley as weekend temperatures will once again rise to near-triple digits.

“Gusty offshore winds with hot and dry conditions will bring elevated fire danger Saturday through Monday across interior portions of Southwest California,” read the special weather statement issued by the National Weather Service.

Despite a relatively cool week, Pasadena will see its weekend heat up. Saturday will see a temperature of 90 degrees while Sunday will reach up to 99 degrees. According to the weather service’s forecast, Pasadena will not be hit with the harsh winds as neither day is expected to see gusts exceed more than 5 miles per hour.

Monday will see the heatwave continue as temperatures will remain in the mid-90s, according to the forecast. Tuesday marks a drop as sees temperatures dip below 90, with each consecutive day getting a bit cooler.

Nighttime temperatures will be in the 60s throughout the weekend and next week, according to the forecast.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64. Calm wind becoming north northeast around 5 mph.

Sunday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 99. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 66.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 94.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 87.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62.
