What’s Open, Closed in Pasadena Under New State Stay-at-Home Order

Under the new statewide stay-at-home order that took effect Saturday night, several types of businesses were ordered closed, while others were issued new restrictions to continue operating.

The order will remain in effect for at least three weeks, according to the California Department of Public Health.

“Regions will be eligible to exit from the order and return to the Blueprint for a Safer Economy on December 28 if ICU capacity projections for the following month are above or equal to 15%,” the agency said in a written statement.

The Southern California region’s ICU capacity level on Sunday was recorded at 10.3 percent.

Under the state mandate:

• Nonessential travel and gatherings with people outside of the household are forbidden, with exceptions of worship and political expression
• Retailers are limited to operate at no more than 20 percent capacity
• Restaurants are limited to take-out and delivery only
• Guidance for schools remains unchanged, and waivers continue to be considered
• Outdoor recreation facilities remain open
• Bars, breweries, distilleries and wineries are closed
• Hair salons, barbershops and personal care businesses are closed.
• Hotels and motels are limited to only essential bookings
