A 30-year-old Pasadena woman was allegedly kidnapped at knifepoint and sexually assaulted in Pasadena on Saturday night, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

The incident occurred around 9:26 p.m. near the intersection of Sierra Madre Villa Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, said Pasadena Police Lieutenant Tim Bundy.

The woman reported that she had entered her parked vehicle when an unknown man allegedly got into the vehicle and produced a knife.

The suspect, described only as a Black male between 30 and 40 years old, then allegedly forced the victim to drive to another undisclosed location where he sexually assaulted her, Lieutenant Bundy said.

During the incident, the victim reportedly managed to escape and call 911.

It was not known if the victim, whose name was not released, sought medical treatment.

Detectives from the Pasadena Police Department’s Special Victims Unit have begun an investigation into the incident, but the suspect has not been located at this time, according to Lieutenant Bundy.
