‘Young and the Restless,’ ‘General Hospital’ Top Nominations for Daytime Emmy Awards Held in Pasadena

CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” scored a leading 18 nominations Thursday for the 2022 Daytime Emmy Awards, closely followed by ABC’s “General Hospital” with 17 and trailed by NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” with 11.

The bulk of the Daytime Emmy Awards will be presented June 18 during the Creative Arts & Lifestyle ceremony, with the main ceremony scheduled for June 24 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. The show will air on CBS.

All three were nominated for outstanding daytime drama series, along with Peacock’s “Beyond Salem” and CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

“The Kelly Clarkson Show” collected nine nominations, while “The Drew Barrymore Show” earned six, with both scoring nods for outstanding entertainment talk show. Also landing in the category were “Hot Ones,” “Live with Kelly and Ryan” and “Today Show with Hoda & Jenna.”

For informative talk show, nominations went to “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” “Peace of Mind with Taraji,” “Red Table Talk,” “Red Table Talk: The Estefans,” “Tamron Hall” and “Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts.”

Culinary series nominations went to “Barefoot Contessa: Modern Comfort Food,” “Counter Space,” “Guy’s Ranch Kitchen,” “Mary McCartney Serves It Up” and “Valerie’s Home Cooking.”
