2021 Expressing Feelings through Art Exhibition and Competition

South Pasadena Unified School District congratulates South Pasadena High School’s finalists and exhibitors in the juried 2021 “Expressing Feelings Through Art” (EFTA) contest sponsored by Light Bringer Project. Seven of the 14 finalists in this year’s competition hail from South Pasadena High School. The exhibition and awards ceremony for the EFTA competition will be held Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 1 p.m. on the Light Bringer YouTube channel.

SPHS senior, Matthew Tan, has earned an ArtCenter ACX Teens Award for this work titled, “Afternoon Nap.” This award focuses on students who demonstrate a capacity to use both technical skills and conceptual thinking in their approach to feelings and health.

The EFTA program seeks to provide high school students with an opportunity to explore their personal feelings, strengthen their creative voices, and to acknowledge their success in a community setting. Following is a list of exhibitors and finalists:
