A Journey to Remember: Aveson School 5th Graders Experience Catalina Island Adventure

Aveson’s 5th graders recently embarked on an unforgettable three-day Rite of Passage trip to Catalina Island, where they attended the renowned CIMI Camp. Throughout the adventure, students immersed themselves in hands-on marine science experiences, explored the wonders of the ocean, snorkeled during both day and night excursions, and even dissected squid — with a little creativity and humor turning them into unforgettable “fashion accessories.” Along the way, the students formed lasting friendships, discovered new marine life, and created memories that will stay with them for years to come. Congratulations to the incredible 5th graders for completing this meaningful milestone, and heartfelt thanks to the dedicated chaperones whose time, support, and care helped make the experience possible.
