Alverno Celebrate its Founders, the Immaculate Heart Community & the Sisters of St. Francis

Alverno Heights Academy recently celebrated its Founders, the Immaculate Heart Community & the Sisters of St. Francis. We started the day with a wonderful & inspiring presentation from Sr. Susan Maloney, SNJM.

Students then reflected on the theme of the school year, You Are Destiny, inspired by a poem by Immaculate Heart member Anita Caspary. They created banners that embodied the theme and shared them with fellow students.

Students then went to workshops that explored nature, meditation, art & crafts. From flower crowns, to bracelets to succulent pots, students spent time together and were reminded to be grateful for our wonderful Alverno community. The day ended in the spirit of Hispanic Heritage month with a taco lunch where students were able to make their own corn tortillas. It was a beautiful day!
