Alverno Heights Academy Students Gather for Campus Mass

Students at Alverno Heights Academy recently came together for a campus Mass on the Terrace, creating an opportunity for reflection, prayer and connection as a school community.

The gathering brought students together outside the classroom for a shared experience centered on faith and fellowship. As students participated in the Mass, they also reflected on themes of teamwork and community — values that extend beyond religious observance and into daily life on campus.

Photos shared by the Sierra Madre school show students gathering together on the Terrace, with student participants also taking active roles during the service. The outdoor setting provided a communal space where students of different grade levels could pause from their regular academic routines and take part in one of the traditions that helps shape campus life at Alverno Heights Academy.

For the school, occasions such as campus Mass are also opportunities to reinforce the sense of belonging that comes from learning, worshipping and participating in school life together. The experience encourages students to recognize that community is built not only through individual achievement, but also through cooperation, mutual support and shared responsibility.

That emphasis was reflected in Alverno Heights Academy’s message accompanying the gathering: “Students reflected on teamwork and community as the Alverno community gathered for Mass on the Terrace.”

The Mass also demonstrated how faith remains woven into the broader student experience at Alverno Heights Academy. Alongside academics, arts, athletics and other campus activities, communal gatherings offer students time to consider their relationships with one another and their role within the larger school community.

For students, the morning provided both a spiritual observance and a reminder of the connections that unite the Alverno community — bringing classmates, educators and the school’s faith tradition together in one shared space.
